Was the White House the target?
In the lively city of Washington, known for its famous landmarks and as the center of power, something unexpected happens near Lafayette Square on a Monday night. All eyes are on Sai Varshith Kandula, a mysterious man driving a rented box truck.
A man named Sai Varshith Kandula, originally from India and residing in Missouri, was recently arrested in Washington. He drove a rented box truck and collided with security barriers near Lafayette Square, in close proximity to the White House, on Monday night. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or immediate threats to public safety. During the investigation, authorities discovered a Nazi swastika flag, which appeared to have originated from inside the truck.
Let me get this straight… so you are telling me a guy with a Nazi flag in an empty Uhaul Truck randomly plowed into a White House barricade at low speeds, then gave up immediately and got arrested, and the FBI laid out the flag in front of the truck for the perfect photo op? pic.twitter.com/zm9MS4lAyz

Sai Varshth Kandula, a 19-year-old individual of Indian origin, is suspected by the police of deliberately crashing a U-Haul truck into a security barrier at a park near the White House. It has been reported that Kandula expressed admiration for the Nazi ideology and was observed waving a Nazi flag as part of his alleged plan to “seize power” from the government. The authorities made these statements on Tuesday.
Based on the charges, Kandula reportedly disclosed to Secret Service agents that he had flown from St. Louis on a one-way ticket on the night of the incident. He stated his intention to “reach the White House, take control, and assume leadership of the nation.” Kandula also made a concerning statement indicating that he would harm the president if necessary.
How U-Haul Got Connected to the White House Attack?
Kandula purchased the flag online because of his interest in the historical aspects associated with the Nazis, though it’s important to note that these ideologies are widely condemned. No explosives or weapons were discovered in the truck or in Kandula’s possession. He had rented the U-Haul vehicle in Herndon, Virginia, under his own name with a valid contract. U-Haul allows individuals as young as 18 to rent their trucks. According to U-Haul, there were no concerning elements in Kandula’s rental history that would have prevented the contract from being approved.
The monitoring of individuals who pose threats to the president is the responsibility of the U.S. Secret Service. However, it remains uncertain whether Kandula had previously come to their attention or if he had made any direct threats against the president. Kandula was apprehended on various charges, and prosecutors accused him of causing damage to U.S. property.

According to WUSA9 TV station, the authorities thoroughly investigate various aspects of the case. This includes examining the suspect’s mental health and also delving into their previous associations with neo-Nazi groups. As per the report, a Nazi flag was discovered and seized from the individual’s vehicle.
According to Anthony Guglielmi, the spokesperson for the Secret Service, law enforcement officers apprehended the driver of a box truck on the north side of Lafayette Square at 16th Street just before 10:00 p.m. This action was taken after the vehicle collided with security barriers.
But the mystery remained. What motivated Sai Varshith Kandula to drive his truck towards the heart of American power? Was it a misguided act or a deliberate message? The answers lay within his mind, waiting to be uncovered.
